- Be aware that you might have to do some sleuthing, first. Stairs are usually less obviously located, since fewer people use them. This is a good thing! Less traffic and more peace of mind.)
- Check how much time you need to get somewhere.
- Check how many stairs you need to climb, either up or down.
- Check your pain and activity levels so that you are physically comfortable taking the stairs.
- Make sure all these factors line up and allow you to proceed on your journey in a timely fashion.
- Proceed.
- Do this every time there are stairs.
- Realize that you’re keeping up a valuable skill and set of muscles, ones that most folks let atrophy by accident from disuse.
- Stay being able to do the stairs for as long as possible.
- Run the likelihood of developing fabulous glute muscles and reducing lower back pain.
- Come out on top — of the staircase.
