  2. Have a 7:20 AM train on 42nd Street, on the East Side.
  3. Look at the clock, which says it’s 6:45 AM.
  4. Be late.
  5. Be very late.
  6. Put your backpack on your shoulders and cinch it under your sternum with not-so-vague panic that you are going to miss your train.
